No protest of info table is complete without a banner!
Join us to make a Pro Choice Banner and learn this low budget, DIY technique to make a high quality banner that's so nice it looks like it was made in a print shop.
We'll be making a banner with the message below. With the increased anti-choice presence and action in Saskatoon, this sweet banner is going to come in handy!

Singing for a Better World!
7:00 - 9:00pm Tuesday, August 20
The Stand Community Organizing Centre
615 Main Street, Saskatoon
When we lift our voices together in song, we lift our spirits, too, and experience an unparalleled sense of connection with each other. No wonder singing has been part of many social movements!
Do you want to join with others to sing for a better world? Then come out to this gathering to learn some songs about protecting the earth and building peace and justice.
We will talk about ways we can bring these songs to rallies, marches and vigils, and create a culture of progressive, collective singing in Saskatoon.
All are welcome—no prior singing experience or musical knowledge required. Players of guitars, banjos, ukuleles, etc. also very welcome!

Friends With Benefits Workshop:
When Labour & Community are at Their Best
5 - 9pm Thursday, September 26
Room 1001, St. Thomas More College
1437 College Drive
When faced with forces like climate change, colonization, gentrification, austerity, racism and xenophobia, it's often difficult to see how we can make meaningful gains. But there are many stories from around the world of grassroots activist groups and labour unions working together to find common ground and develop the relationships of solidarity to fight these powerful forces to generate huge wins both for union members and the community as a whole!
This free workshop will bring together union members, community groups, activists, students, and members of the public to build solidarity and identify opportunities for mutual support and collaboration. For inspiration, we'll look at case studies from around the world of the collective power we can wield when unions and community work together for social, environmental, and economic justice.
The workshop will also provide space for unions and community groups to host info tables for participants to learn more about the campaigns they're working on, connect with like-minded organizations, and get involved in the fight for a more just world.
5pm - Supper & Networking w/ Info Booths
6pm - Workshop Start
Thank you to Stand Member Groups, Stop the Cuts and the Saskatoon Anti-Fascist Education & Action Committee (SAFE-AC), for co-hosting!
