Elections – What Are They Good For? (And What Do They Mean For Grassroots Organizations & Activists?)

The Stand Community Organizing Centre and Stop the Cuts invites you to participate in a webinar via Zoom on Thursday, December 3 from 7:00-9:00pm.
With the Saskatchewan provincial and municipal elections over and the fate of the US elections decided, people can now take a breath, reflect on the results, and continue to build movements that seek justice for our communities.
As such, we’ve invited panelists to share their experiences and expertise: Jason Mercredi (Executive Director at Prairie Harm Reduction), Barb Cape (President of SEIU-West), and Tria Donaldson (Municipal Elections Organizer). The panel will be moderated by Charles Smith (Professor at St Thomas More - Dept Head of Political Studies). More panelists may be announced shortly.

There will be Q&A so if you have any burning questions in advance, please let us know at [email protected]! Otherwise, there will be Q&A from participants as a part of the agenda.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
