One Book One Province: Bread & Water

Join us for a special evening with dee Hobsbawn-Smith, author of Bread & Water: Essays and this year’s One Book One Province selection.

When dee left city life behind for a rural farm in Saskatchewan, she planned to trade cooking for poetry. But food had other ideas — trickling into her writing and shaping a lyrical, thought-provoking exploration of life, loss, and resilience.

Through stories of floods, food, and the deep hungers of the soul, Bread & Water invites readers to consider how we live, what sustains us, and how we carry joy through the ordinary.
